OpenLife Nigeria reports that a Ghanaian accountant, entrepreneur, politician and founder of the All People’s Congress, APC, Dr. Hassan Ayariga, has asked African leading philanthropist and business tycoon, Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu to brace the challenge of using public office to take Ayawaso North constituency to the promised land.
Knowing Alhaji Salamu Amadu’s aversion to politics, Ayariga, who was the candidate of the People’s National Convention for the Ghana December 2012 presidential election, has vowed to persuade enterprising Alhaji Amadu to take up the challenge.
The founder and leader of APC also stated that he will do his best to convince the astute business magnate to contest on the ticket of All Peoples Congress as a parliamentary candidate in the Ayawaso North Constituency.
Dr Ayariga made the statement at the National Mosque, Kanda when he was addressing a gathering to mark International Youth Day which was organized by the Afro-Arab Group founder, Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu.
According to him, he knows it will not be an easy task to convince the young businessman into politics but he will try all means to get his candidature on the ticket of All Peoples Congress.
He added that the people of Ayawaso North need someone like Ambassador Salamu to turn their misfortunes into a fortune.
“Inshallah I will do all I can to convince my brother Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu to contest on the ticket of my political party as a parliamentary candidate.
He’s a unifier and team leader so if I can secure him as a parliamentary candidate victory shall be ours in the Ayawaso North Constituency”.
“We all know in the Bible that Moses was tasked by God to take the Israelites to the promised land but he was changed and the baton was given to Joshua to lead them to the promised land so I want to make known to the good people of Ayawaso North that Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu is their ‘Joshua’.
He will do well as a politician because of his track record as a businessman, entrepreneur and philanthropist.
Ayariga, born on September 4, 1972, attended his ealy schools in Nigeria and Ghana before proceeding to study accounting at the London School of Accountancy and earned a PhD from Atlantic International University, an American distance learning university.
Dr. Hassan Ayariga lost the presidential primaries of the People’s National Convention (PNC) for the 2016 general election to Edward Mahama, whom he had beaten to become presidential candidate in 2012.
Citing anomalies and cheating, he left the party to form a new party, the All People’s Congress (APC), in 2016.
However, the Afro-Arab Group founder, Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu, has not confirmed if he would take up the challenge
