Come Tuesday, July 30, prominent players from government, private sector and civil society would gather at the Ladi Kwali Hall of Abuja Sheraton Hotel, to proffer options and solutions for the big push in broadband connectivity cost reduction, accessibility and availability in a manner that billions of people would be accommodated in the increasing and enduring online and digitalized mode of business and life style.
This is the mission and commitment of Alliance for Affordable Internet, A4AI, world’s broadest technology sector coalition.
In a statement by Alliance for Affordable Internet, made available to OpenLife, “ A4AI-Nigeria is making affordable access possible by advocating for policy and regulatory reform in vast areas” even as “the coalition remains resolute in supporting the development of a suitable policy and regulatory environment to meet this goal.”
Areas of evaluation and discussion at the conference include but not limited to Broadband Infrastructure: Sharing, Open Access and Spectrum and Consumer Advocacy and Pricing Transparency (including Taxation, Universal Access and other Fiscal Issues.
The
meeting is open to all stakeholders committed to promoting policy and
regulatory reform to make affordable internet possible in Nigeria.
