The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) (hereinafter “The Board”) administered the 2025 UTME between 24th April, 2025 to 5th May, 2025. In a statement accompanying the official release of the result, the Board announced that only about 22 percent of candidates scored 200 and above, while over 70 percent scored below 200.

2. The statistics reveal the worst failure rate ever in the history of the JAMB conducted examination thereby raising public concern and outcry as to the reason behind the baffling and startling poor performance.

3. Our clients highly dispute the results as not reflective of their effort presupposing that there might have been a possible glitch in the JAMB software potentially resulting in the mismatch between the questions and the answers.

4. The above scenario has cast a shadow of doubt over the integrity of the software deployed by the Board in administering and marking the questions. Unfortunately, the system is programmed in way that candidates are only able to view their scores against each subject and the aggregate thereof. Moreover, the development has put your Board on the spotlight that the need for accountability at this point and going forward becomes imperative and non-negotiable.

<figure id="attachment_29438" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-29438" style="width: The approach would either validate the results as published by the Board thus earning the Board much more respect and public trust and clear the candidates doubt or may produce a result necessitating the implementation of appropriate reforms to strengthen the integrity of the examination thus impacting positively in future examinations while addressing genuine cases arising from the recent examination.

6. Therefore, as instructed by our clients, we make the following demands:-

(a). That your Board makes full disclosure of the questions and the corresponding answers administered in respect of each candidate to enable self-evaluation.

(b). Nollywood Actress, Shine Rosman, Raises Alarm Over Alleged Sexual Harassment In Lagos OpenLife reports that Nollywood actress Shine Rosman has spoken about what she describes as ongoing incidents of sexual harassment affecting women in parts of Lagos, particularly in Yaba. She said the issue is widely known among residents but remains unaddressed. “Do you know how bad sexual harrssment is in Lagos? Like go to Yaba, as a girl and see how you will be touched inappropriately. Everybody hearing this knows that it is true. But till today, nothing is being done about it.” She described what she claims are repeated incidents of inappropriate contact in public spaces without consequences for those responsible. “You’re walking in Yaba and people are touching you inappropriately and nothing will happen.” Rosman questioned the absence of effective intervention and raised concerns about personal safety in such environments. “If the government is not going to do anything, is it not ok for us to defend ourselves? In 2026, in a country like Nigeria, s+xual har+ssment is still one of the most passive things.” She also raised concerns about the implications of such behaviour occurring in open public spaces. “If a man can s+xually h+rass you casually during the day, what do you think he can do behind closed doors when no one is looking?”. The comments were made during an interview with Tolu Afilaka, where she discussed women’s safety in public areas of Lagos.
