<h4>After A Week</h4>
<p><strong><a href="https://openlife.ng/">OpenLife Nigeria</a></strong> reports that the Kebbi State Police Command has recorded yet another stride in its ongoing security operations, with the arrest of suspected kidnappers and the recovery of illegal firearms across the state between 21st and 26th December 2025.</p>
<p>This is contained in a statement signed by Command’s spokesman, SP Bashir Usman.<br />

According to the statement, one Iliya D. Bano of Yarbuga village was arrested in Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area.</p>
<p>He allegedly threatened the village head of Yar Ali village and another resident of Yarbuga village with kidnapping unless a ransom of â¦500,000 was paid.</p>
<p>During interrogation, the suspect confessed to the act and disclosed the identity of an accomplice Istifanus Digwengwe who is currently at large.<br />
<br />
Similarly, also within Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area, one Danisa Yakub of Tafki village was apprehended for demanding â¦1 million from a resident of Koliko village under violent threat of kidnapping.</p>
<p>The suspect during investigation further admitted involvement in a previous kidnapping incident within the area.<br />

In a separate operation in Kalgo Local Government Area, police operatives recovered ten locally fabricated firearms from three suspects; <a href="https://punchng.com/">Aliyu Muhammad Sambawa,</a> Salihu Haruna, and Suleiman Isah who were unable to provide satisfactory explanations regarding the possession of the weapons.</p>

<p>The Commissioner of Police, CP Bello M. Sani, noted that the arrests and recoveries were the result of sustained patrols and actionable intelligence. He stated that investigations are ongoing and assured that all suspects will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.</p>
<p>He further urged residents to continue cooperating with the Police by promptly reporting suspicious activities.<br />
