African Food & Products Exhibition holds May 24-25

The 2019 version of the African Food and Products Conference and Exhibition, AFPE, organised by The Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce is billed to hold on Friday 24th May and Saturday 25thMay, 2019 at the Grand Ball Room, Lagos Continental Hotel, Victoria Island. Lagos by 9:00 am.
This business annual event which is the 3rd in the series is themed: “Sustainability and Innovation;Pathway to Business Success for SMEs.”

The Exhibition which is aimed at promoting the development of trade, commerce, investment and industrial technological relationships between the public and private sectors of the Federal Republic ofNigeria, Africa and the United States of America will witness the presence of industry expert speakers,market leaders, Trade Promotion Agencies, Venture Capitalists, Seed Investors, Export Houses,Business Clinics, Policy Makers, Franchisors, Franchisees, Produce Merchants, Analysts and ResearchProfessionals, Startup Hubs, Government Regulatory Agencies.
It will also have in attendance the Presidency, Federal Ministers, State Governors, CEOs of Leading Nigerian and Multinational Firms,Captains of Industries, Agencies of the United States Mission amongst others.
The keynote speaker at the conference is Abubakar Suleiman, the Chief Executive Officer of Sterling Bank Plc while the Special Guest of Honour is John Bray, Consul General, US Consulate General, Lagos.
The guest appearance personalities includes but not limited to Ambassador W. Start Symington, US Ambassador to Nigeria, Brent Omdahi, US Mission to Nigeria Commercial Counsellor and Russel Brooks, Public Affairs Officer, US Consulate General, Lagos.
The conference speakers and panelists are Akin Banuso, Country General Manager, Microsoft Nigeria; Friday Okpara, Director, Quality Partnership and Co rodination, SMEDAN; Innocent Chukwuma, Director, Ford Foundation Nigeria; Adenike Adeyemi, Executive Director, Fate Foundation; Macaulay Ataise, CEO, Nextzon Business Services and Innocent Oseghe, Principal Partner, Human Capital Partners.
Strategic conference sessions will focus exhaustively on Innovative Technology: Growth Catalysts for SMEs; Redefining Organisational Structures for SMEs Sustainability; Positioning and Sustaining SMEs for Global Competitivness and Examining Drivers of Sustainable Innovation for SMEs.
However, conference will attract SMEs, Start-up business owners, MSMEs, International & localmanufacturers, suppliers & distributors of food, beverage, agro commodities, apparel and fashionproducts, chain stores, independent sellers, business service providers, key decision and policy makersfrom leading Nigerian, African and American companies showcasing their products/service offerings tovisitors, with a view to further promote their products and services to visitors and buyers and increase export sales by maximizing the benefits of the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA).
While the event had over 1500 attendees in 2018 with about 90 Exhibitors from Nigeria and the United States, the 2-day 2019 edition is expected to have over 2,500 attendees from acrossNigeria, Africa and the United States.
This would present a viable opportunity for exhibiting companies to grow their sales, showcase their products to a target audience and strike million dollars international deals.
