ADC Chieftain, Chief Eze, Demands NJC Sanction Against Justice Lifu</h4>

<p><strong><a href="https://openlife.ng/">OpenLife Nigeria</a></strong> reports that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Chieftain and Public Relations strategist has described Justice Peter Lifu as an anti democratic judicial officer on the Federal High Court bench, and considerably, a mole working for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to stifle opposition political parties ahead of the 2027 general elections.</p>
<p>Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, an ADC Chieftain, in a statement issued on Friday, said Justice Lifu and the likes are being used by desperate politicians who see themselves as demi-gods to influence judicial decisions against anything that poses danger for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.</p>
<p>&#8220;It is not a matter of insinuation or broad daylight allegation or even blackmail. They don&#8217;t want any opposition. Mr President is jiltry and paranoid over the forthcoming presidential election. For instance, can Justice Peter Lifu make an order or reprimand anything Wike? Certainly not. That&#8217;s how bad it is.</p>
<p>&#8220;The Judge has made mockery of himself as a cheap tool in the hands of his paymasters for the destruction of the opposition. We understand the pressure on him but must he do a hatchet job for the APC to the detriment of the entire Judiciary, Eze querried.</p>
<p>Eze stated that Justice Lifu exhibited high level suspicion and overzealousness by blatantly disregarding the order of the Appeal Court directing him to stay proceeding on the suit seeking deregistration of some political parties.</p>
<p>&#8220;Nigeria&#8217;s Judiciary was kidnapped the day, the APC government led by late Muhammadu Buhari attacked, arrested and prosecuted the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen, and other Supreme Court Justices for reasons we all knew about.</p>
<p>&#8220;Since then, some Judicial officers like Justice Lifu, for fear of the unknown have relegated their apolitical status to the trash bin, and embraced the satanic hugs of civillian despots and devious politicians clothed in democratic robes.</p>
<p>&#8220;Thank <strong><a href="https://openlife.ng/">God</a></strong> we still have courageous, patriotic and bold Judicial officers who dispense Justice based on pure law, and without fear or favour, Eze stated.</p>
<p>The ADC. Chief lampooned the High Court Judge for going contrary to all known judicial precedents in a bid to accomplish the prayers and vision of those he described as &#8220;drowning political misfits, who are totally afraid of any opposition in the 2027 general elections due to bad governance.</p>
<p>Eze, formerly the National Publicity Secretary of defunct New Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP), commended the Appeal Court, and INEC for condenming Justice Lifu&#8217;s &#8220;Judicial Rascality&#8221;.</p>
<p>&#8220;Though, we know in all these shenanigans the target is to stop the ADC Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, the incoming President from participating in the 2027 general elections but they will fall as Nigerians are ever determined to kick them out from ASO ROCK all things being equal no matter the odds</p>
<p>&#8220;The fear of Atiku/Amaechi (AA) ticket is the beginning of wisdom for Tinubu, Eze said.</p>

<p>&#8220;Thanks to the Appeal Court for staying the fraudulent and unpopular judgement. We hail INEC this time for challenging the shameful judgement, that purportedly ordered deregistration of both ADC and four other parties.</p>
<p>Consequently, Eze called on the National Judicial Council (NJC) to probe and sanction Justice Lifu for making an order that further disparaged the public perception of Nigeria&#8217;s Judiciary and for subverting the rule of law.</p>
<p>In addition, Eze pointed fingers to the Presidency and office of the Attorney General of the Federation in particular, accusing them of being complicit in the undemocratic move to deregister a leading opposition political party.</p>
<p>&#8220;President Tinubu cannot be exornorated from the present plight of Justice Lifu; it is observed that the fellow who is leading the so-called Forum of <a href="https://www.vanguardngr.com/">Ex Lawmakers</a> that filed the inglorious suit against our democracy is one of those working with Tinubu&#8217;s Chief of Staff, while the AGF, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, is the one monitoring and directing the legal angle on the onslaught on the country&#8217;s Judiciary.</p>
<p>&#8220;Imagine a man who is supposed to be an Attorney General of all Nigerians, is the one joining and advising a party seeking the deregistration of another party, the ADC stalwart wondered.</p>
<p>Although the AGF is a defendant in the suit against the ADC, the Accord Party and three others, but in a dramatic turn at the Federal High Court Abuja, he pitched tents with the Plaintiffs in seeking deregistration of the affected parties before the 2027 general elections.</p>
<p>Eze criticized the AGF for contending that INEC would “continue to act in breach of its constitutional duty” by retaining parties that have failed to meet the minimum requirements prescribed by law.</p>
<p>&#8220;What would have been the situation in Nigeria, had the Appeal Court didn&#8217;t intervene immediately by calling Justice Lifu to order? Eze asked.</p>
<p>Recall that the appellate court had on May 22, 2026, made an order for the lower court (Justice Lifu) to suspend proceedings on the matter, but the Judge was adamant.</p>

<p>Describing Justice Lifu&#8217;s conduct as &#8220;the gravest form of judicial misconduct&#8221;, a 3-man panel of the Appeal Court stated that the “The decision of the lower court to proceed with the judgment despite the express order of this court is a brazen violation of the hierarchy of the court and the 1999 Constitution,”.</p>
<p>“The decision of the lower court to proceed with the judgment despite the express order of this court is the highest form of judicial impertinence&#8221;.</p>
<p>&#8220;The Supreme Court had previously held that a judge who acted in such a manner is unfit for the bench as it amounts to judicial rascality.”</p>
<p>“Courts are enjoined to protect their integrity&#8221; the panel said.</p>
<p>Eze assures Nigerians that no matter all the plots by President Tinubu against opposition political parties, he will surely be voted out accordingly come 2027</p>
