Femi Fani-Kayode may have concluded plans to return to APC
OpenLife Nigeria reports that a former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode may be on his way back to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC.
He left the party about six years ago and moved to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Credible sources revealed that he has met with chairman, Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) Gov. Mai Mala Buni and Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello at a Guest House in Abuja.
“They had a close door meeting” a credible source told OpenLife.
The closed- door meeting, which lasted for about an hour, may not be unconnected with fine tuning plans for the return of the former Minister to APC.
Femi Fani-Kayode had earlier met with Governor Bello in his Wuse Zone 6 residence in Abuja before he led the former Minister to the party chairman’s Guest House.
The move, OpenLife further learnt, has the signature of former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, who has been tipped as President Muhammadu Buhari’s successor and who is also working round the clock to get most of his loyalists in PDP to join APC.
Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State who is the recruiting officer was instrumental to governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State’s defection to APC from PDP some months ago. The recruitment exercise which coincides with the party membership revalidation process, is earmarked to strengthen the party’s manpower shock absorber ahead of the 2023 general election
