Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain in Delta, Eunice Okoh, has berated President Muhammadu Buhari over petrol pump price hike.
The front line PDP stalwart also expressed reservations on the All Progressives Congress, APC, led government’s new electric tariff.
The former Vice Chairman of Ughelli South Local Government Council spoke when she played host to Ughelli South PDP women leaders in Otu- Jeremi, Ughelli South Local Government Area. She posited that federal government has brought untold hardship to Nigerians.
While accusing President Buhari’s administration of corruption, she lamented unnecessary waste of funds. Okoh punctured the huge budget for auditing the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC. She noted that auditing funds is enough to establish laudable projects in the Niger Delta area.
She called on President Buhari to account for all Nigeria’s external loans since he came on board.
Said she: “There is nothing to show for his borrowing sprees.”
Okoh said that she was speaking on behalf of all patriotic Nigerians. She averred that they have been subjected to penury. She also expressed worries over the unflinching hardship unleashed on the Nigerian masses by Buhari.
The renowned philanthropist, earlier explained that she decided to play host to PDP women leaders in Ughelli South. According to her, it was to further unite female members of the party to strengthen PDP in the area.
She seized the opportunity to appreciate Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State and the Peoples Democrtaic Party for his laudable achievements in terms of infrastructure and appointments so far in the area.
The highpoint of the occasion was a special prayer for Eunice Okoh for her immense contribution to the growth of the party and philosophy.
