Cubana Chief Priest Embarrassed In Abuja Show
OpenLife reports that Cubana Chief Priest, the nightlife entrepreneur and socialite Pascal Okechukwu, encountered a hostile audience during a recent performance in Abuja.
The Imo-born entertainer took to the stage to deliver one of his tracks, hoping to energize the crowd.
However, his attempts to engage the audience fell flat, as some sections responded with repeated chants of “We no send your papa,” signaling clear disapproval.
Observers noted that the reaction may reflect lingering political frustrations in the nation’s capital, where residents have openly criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration since the 2023 elections.
Cubana Chief Priest, affiliated with the APC and serving as the South East state director for the City Boy Movement, had earlier expressed regret for not supporting Tinubu sooner, stating he had relied on the phrase, “Relax, Tinubu will fix Nigeria.”
The performance highlighted how closely public sentiment can intersect with politics, as the entertainer struggled to win over a crowd wary of his political stance.
Despite his celebrity status and efforts to entertain, the reception underscored the challenges of navigating political affiliations in public spaces.
