Prove Your Spiritual Power In LUTH Or Go To Jail—Seun Kuti Tasks Prophets & Miracle Pastors
OpenLife reports that Afrobeat musician has ignited a heated conversation after sharing strong opinions about pastors who claim to perform miracles.
Speaking during a live session, Seun questioned the unchecked nature of miracle claims and challenged authorities to step in.
He argued that extraordinary declarations especially those involving healing or supernatural acts should not go unverified.
Instead of relying on emotional testimonies or viral online clips, he believes there should be a structured and scientific process to confirm such claims.
According to him, the government has a responsibility to protect citizens from deception.
He suggested that any pastor or individual who claims to perform miracles should be required to prove it under strict medical supervision.
To ensure credibility, he recommended that such tests be conducted at Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), where professionals can properly evaluate the outcomes.
Seun also stressed that genuine miracles should be consistent and repeatable.
In his view, it’s not enough for a single unverified story to circulate anyone making such claims should be able to demonstrate them multiple times in controlled conditions.
He gave a striking example, stating that restoring sight should involve medically confirmed cases, not vague or unverifiable situations.
He further insisted that failure to provide proof should come with serious consequences, calling for strict legal enforcement to discourage false claims.
He said:
“A law should be made to ensure that no one is allowed to perform miracles, and anyone caught claiming to perform a miracle should be sent to jail.
“The only exception would be if the miracle can be proven at Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).
“They should perform the miracle for ten people at LUTH. I do not want to hear about fake miracles, because your God can do all things.
“I am not talking about miracles that claim to heal someone who has been blind their entire life.
“In this case I’m talking about someone with no eyeballs at all and if the miracle is real, the person should gain full vision.
“If you cannot perform the miracle, you should be held accountable.
“If a person is unable to perform the miracle, they should be sentenced to fifty years in prison.”
His remarks have since triggered mixed reactions, with supporters applauding his call for accountability while critics question whether such regulation is realistic or fair.
