Tems Recalls Most Embarrassing Moments As An Upcoming Artist
OpenLife reports that Nigerian singer Tems recently shared a difficult moment from the start of her music career.
During an interview with Big Boy TV, she revealed that she was once booed off stage while performing at her school.
“I remember preparing to perform at my school as an aspiring artist, thinking I would receive applause and support.
But instead, I was booed, and people threw plastic bottles at me,” she said.
Tems explained that experiences like these, along with other early setbacks, did not stop her from pursuing music.
She suggested that some of the criticism came from her choice to focus on her unique sound rather than perform popular covers like many of her peers.
Reflecting on her journey, the Grammy-winning singer expressed gratitude for staying true to herself despite early challenges and pressure to conform.
