Nollywood Actress
OpenLife Nigeria reports that Nollywood actress, Oluwakemisola Apesin, popularly known as Kemity, has responded to claims suggesting she advanced in the movie industry through sexual favors.
On Instagram, she firmly dismissed the allegations, attributing her success solely to hard work and dedication.
Reflecting on her career, she shared throwback photos and recalled how she started in Nollywood.
Before fully venturing into acting, Kemity ran two wine shops and worked as a receptionist at Masters Hotel in Ayobo.
She explained that these jobs kept her financially independent while she chased her dreams.
She also developed skills in acting and makeup artistry, which strengthened her craft and helped her earn a living.
The mother of two daughters encouraged aspiring actresses to avoid shortcuts and empty promises, stressing that discipline and talent are enough for success. She wrote:
“Throw back Thursday There is something I need to clear respectfully.
Nobody should let anyone deceive them because of social media noise. I have never used my body to collect a movie role. I have never slept with anyone to get featured in any film.
I have never exchanged sex for opportunity. Before I even met my boss, I already had two wine shops where I was selling wine.
I have always worked for my money. I am a mother. I have two daughters I am raising and training with dignity and strong values. I cannot build their future on something dirty. Everything I am today is my sweat. Everything I have achieved is hard work and God’s grace.”

Kemity’s message is clear: her journey in Nollywood is rooted in hard work, resilience, and integrity. By speaking out, she not only defends her name but also encourages aspiring actresses to believe in their talent and build their success the right way.
