Leading African Philanthropist
OpenLife Nigeria reports that Africa’s leading philanthropist and business icon, Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu has partnered Rainbow Trust Foundation, a local non-profit organization in Ghana to support a school, Al Falah Islamic.
Al Falah Islamic School is situated at Mamobi, a suburb of Accra in the Ayawaso North Municipality.
Through the benevolence of Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu and the Rainbow Trust Foundation, Al Falah Islamic School has been equipped with an ultra-modern library with 2,000 books and educational materials, 100 local content books, 200 bags, 1 plastic box, teaching and learning materials, shelves, 2 registers, and a teachers’ librarian training manual.
In his address, Alhaji Salamu Amadu, founder of the Afro-Arab Group of Companies, noted that being an old student of the school he decided to partner with the Rainbow Trust Foundation to provide the Ultra-modern library for the school.
He assured the entire staff and the students that this is the tip of the iceberg and urged them to look forward to more developmental projects for the school and other schools in the neighborhood.
He also disclosed that as a youth ambassador for peace and development, he is speaking to partners in Turkey to provide scholarships to the needy but brilliant students in the Zongos and Inner Cities.
“Inshallah, we shall witness vigorous developmental projects in the Zongos and Inner Cities. As the youth ambassador for peace and development, I’m speaking to my partners in Istanbul, Turkey to provide scholarships to the needy but brilliant students in the Zongos and Inner Cities”.
He also mentioned that the first word revealed to Holy Prophet Muhammed (SAW) was IQRA meaning READ, and stated the importance of reading. Anyone who reads gets knowledge and knowledge is power.
On her part, Madam Joyce Felix Ampofo the Founder and Chief Executive Director of the Rainbow Trust Foundation, remarked that Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu has been very supportive and he has the education, the needy, and the deprived schools at heart.
“Ambassador Salamu always tries to identify a problem and also tries to find a solution to the identified”.
She noted that Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu also supported the project financially and has promised to do more for Nima, Mamobi, Accra New Town, Alajo, and Kotobaabi.
The Afro-Arab Group Chairman was eulogized by Mrs. Ampofo for being humble and down to earth.
Mr. Ibrahim Nayoh, a resident commended Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu for his exemplary leadership skills and urged other business moguls from the Zongo communities to emulate him.
The headmaster of Al Falah Islamic School Alhaji Abdul Basiru Idrisu on behalf of the school expressed his profound gratitude to Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu and the executives of the Rainbow Trust Foundation for coming to their aid with the ultra-modern library and noted it will boost the learning skills of the students and also the community will benefit from it too.
He thanked Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu and the Rainbow Trust Foundation for choosing Al Falah Islamic School and prayed to the Almighty Allah to bestow his unflappable blessings on him for support to the entire Zongo communities.
