Loyalists of the suspended Chairman of the Lagos Chapter of the Nigerian Union of Road Tranport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, clashed with boys loyal to the Lagos State Chairman of the Tricycle Owners and Operators Association of Nigeria TOOAN, Alhaji Azeez Abiola, commonly called Istijabah at Fagba area of Lagos State.
Residents have fled the area as thugs with guns and machetes have gone on rampage, attacking innocent bystanders.
It was learnt that three people have been killed already.
Earlier today, Istijabah had raised an alarm of an imminent danger in Lagos state.
Speaking with Vanguard in a telephone conversation, he said the body language of some people suggests plans to launch an attack in some parts of Lagos.
He had said: “I don’t want anarchy in the state and have alerted the CP, various Area Commands and DPOs so that they can be at alert. Destruction of lives and property should not be allowed.
“We are doing our best possible to avert this and I believe the Police will do the needful. We will keep alerting them in case of any unforeseen.”
