2024 Hajj
OpenLife Nigeria reports that the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced the total sum of 4.899 Million naira (Basic Travelling Allowance BTA inclusive) as the final Hajj fare for 2024 hajj.
The 2024 Hajj is scheduled to begin in the evening of Friday, June 14, 2024 to Wednesday June 19, 2024.
The Executive Secretary, Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Dauda Salau stated this while addressing pressmen in his office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
He added that the final Hajj fare as announced by the chairman National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, Mallam Jalal Arabi, indicated that Pilgrims from the Southern part of the country, Ogun State inclusive, will pay the sum of 4,899,000 million Naira.
He therefore, appealed to all intending pilgrims who have made deposit of N4.5million naira or below to top it up to the fixed fare of N4.899million naira before 12th of February
Salau urged the Muslim faithful who are still wishing to perform this year’s hajj to make use of the extension date to do so, as there will be no further extension of date by NAHCON.
Alhaji Salau appreciated the cooperation and understanding of the pilgrims and promised a smooth and seamless hajj operations.
Hajj is an annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, the holiest city for Muslims. It is a mandatory religious duty for Muslims that must be carried out at least once in their lifetime by all.
