2023: Wike’s Political Career Will End If He Endorses Another Presidential Candidate – Afolabi Elijah

National Coordinator, Waziri Atiku Political Family And Associates (WAPFA), Deacon Elijah Afolabi has warned that Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike’s political career may come to an end if he endorses another candidate outside the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Afolabi who made the warning in a statement advised Wike not to destroy the platform that gave him the opportunity to be who he is today as that will be greatest error of his political life.

Read full statement below:

“There is an adage in Yoruba that says , you don’t appeal to a child not to be a leper, if he can stay alone in the forest.

“For sometime now, Governor Nyesom Wike has been playing “God” with his utterances.

“Since the outcome of the last PDP Presidential primaries, the party has not known peace.

“Wike pretended not to be bothered about the results but he has been insisting the National Chairman of the party , Ayu Iyorchia must resign.

“One could wonder why he is so desperate about that, no matter what, the facts remains that he lost the primaries and all efforts to be nominated as the running mate of the presidential candidate proved abortive.

“Come to think of it, who in his right senses will ever choose Gov Wike as his running mate? No, not in Nigeria, moreso that the exalted position of VP, requires a high level stable- mindedness, integrity, decorum and loyalty.

“Ever since then, all entreaties to pacify him, has fallen on deaf ears. He now embarked on a campaign of “power must go to the south” .

“The question now is If he had been made the Vice Presidential Candidate, would he have embarked on this campaign? certainly no!

“Wike is not fighting Atiku , but the entire North. PDP is a movement and Atiku Presidency is a divine mandate . He is unstoppable and cannot be blackmailed. With or without Wike, the counsel of the Lord shall stand.

“If you dare adopt any other presidential candidate outside our party, that signals an end to his political career and he will definitely see the other side of God, he should not destroy the platform that gave him the opportunity to be who he is today.

“That will be greatest error of his political life. I pray he rethinks and act wisely”.
