2023: Wike’s Political Career Will End If He Endorses Another Presidential Candidate – Afolabi Elijah

<p><strong>National Coordinator&comma; Waziri Atiku Political Family And Associates &lpar;WAPFA&rpar;&comma; Deacon Elijah Afolabi has warned that Rivers State Governor&comma; Nyesom Wike&&num;8217&semi;s political career may come to an end if he endorses another candidate outside the People&&num;8217&semi;s Democratic Party &lpar;PDP&rpar;&period;<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Afolabi who made the warning in a statement advised Wike not to destroy the platform that gave him the opportunity to be who he is today as that will be greatest error of his political life&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Read full statement below&colon;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><em>&&num;8220&semi;There is an adage in Yoruba that says &comma; you don&&num;8217&semi;t appeal to a child not to be a leper&comma; if he can stay alone in the forest&period;<&sol;em><&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><em>&&num;8220&semi;For sometime now&comma; Governor Nyesom Wike has been playing &&num;8220&semi;God&&num;8221&semi; with his utterances&period;<&sol;em><&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><em>&&num;8220&semi;Since the outcome of the last PDP Presidential primaries&comma; the party has not known peace&period;<&sol;em><&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><em>&&num;8220&semi;Wike pretended not to be bothered about the results but he has been insisting the National Chairman of the party &comma; Ayu Iyorchia must resign&period;<&sol;em><&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><em>&&num;8220&semi;One could wonder why he is so desperate about that&comma; no matter what&comma; the facts remains that he lost the primaries and all efforts to be nominated as the running mate of the presidential candidate proved abortive&period;<&sol;em><&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><em>&&num;8220&semi;Come to think of it&comma; who in his right senses will ever choose Gov Wike as his running mate&quest; No&comma; not in Nigeria&comma; moreso that the exalted position of VP&comma; requires a high level stable- mindedness&comma; integrity&comma; decorum and loyalty&period;<&sol;em><&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><em>&&num;8220&semi;Ever since then&comma; all entreaties to pacify him&comma; has fallen on deaf ears&period; He now embarked on a campaign of &&num;8220&semi;power must go to the south&&num;8221&semi; &period;<&sol;em><&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><em>&&num;8220&semi;The question now is If he had been made the Vice Presidential Candidate&comma; would he have embarked on this campaign&quest; certainly no&excl;<&sol;em><&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><em>&&num;8220&semi;Wike is not fighting Atiku &comma; but the entire North&period; PDP is a movement and Atiku Presidency is a divine mandate &period; He is unstoppable and cannot be blackmailed&period; With or without Wike&comma; the counsel of the Lord shall stand&period;<&sol;em><&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><em>&&num;8220&semi;If you dare adopt any other presidential candidate outside our party&comma; that signals an end to his political career and he will definitely see the other side of God&comma; he should not destroy the platform that gave him the opportunity to be who he is today&period;<&sol;em><&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><em>&&num;8220&semi;That will be greatest error of his political life&period; I pray he rethinks and act wisely&&num;8221&semi;&period;<&sol;em><&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;
