The Minister of State for Education, Hon Emeka Nwajiuba has tendered his resignation letter today in order to focus on the forthcoming All Progressives Congress presidential primary election.

The tenure of the minister is tainted with unceasing industrial actions by ASUU, a union that has been on strike since February 24.

Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday ordered every member of the Federal Executive Council who have ambition to contest elective offices in 2023 general elections to resign on or before May 16, 2022.
