2023 election
OpenLife Nigeria reports that Chief Dele Momodu, a media mogul and one of the Presidential Aspirants of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Wednesday, officially declared his intention to contest for the 2023 presidential election.
He made this known when he presented letter of interest to the national chairman of the party, Dr. Iyorcha Ayu.
Speaking during the presentation, Momodu said he is aware of the mandatory role of his party to nominate him to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, as a candidate for the election, hence, his decision to notify the party of his aspiration.
Dele Momodu is the first PDP aspirant to present letter of interest.
Momodu who contested the presidency in 2011 under National Conscience Party, NCP, joined PDP recently.
