<p><em>2023 election</em></p>
<p>OpenLife Nigeria reports that Chief Dele Momodu, a media mogul and one of the Presidential Aspirants of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Wednesday, officially declared his intention to contest for the 2023 presidential election.</p>
<p>He made this known when he presented letter of interest to the national chairman of the party, Dr. Iyorcha Ayu.</p>
<p>Speaking during the presentation, Momodu said he is aware of the mandatory role of his party to nominate him to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, as a candidate for the election, hence, his decision to notify the party of his aspiration.</p>
<p>Dele Momodu is the first PDP aspirant to present letter of interest.</p>
<p>Momodu who contested the presidency in 2011 under National Conscience Party, NCP, joined PDP recently.</p>
