2021 Eid-el-Fitr: South Governors, NAOSRE President Call For National Unity

<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>2021 Eid-el-Fitr South Governors and NAOSRE President unit for a peaceful Nigeria<&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">OpenLife Nigeria<&sol;a> <&sol;strong>reports that in the spirit of the 2021 Eid-el-Fitr celebrations&comma; the Nigerian Southern Governors Forum and President&comma; National Association of Online Security Reporters&comma; NAOSRE&comma; Mr&period; Femi Oyewale&comma; have unanimously called on government for a renewed plans to extricate Nigeria from the grips of insecurity&comma; poverty and administrative somersaults&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Arising from its meeting in Asaba on Tuesday&comma; the body of Southern governors&comma; in a 12-point communiqué&comma; read by the forum’s Chairman and Governor of Ondo State&comma; Oluwarotimi Akeredolu&comma; told President Buhari to convoke a national dialogue to address the wide spread agitations in the country which is fuelling insecurity&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;The governors affirmed that Southern Nigeria remains committed to the unity of Nigeria on the basis of justice&comma; fairness&comma; equity&comma; oneness and peaceful co-existence&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;They however emphasized that unity is a surest avenue to national growth and prosperity adding that insecurity and banditry are leading threats to food supply which must be checked&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Oyewale&comma; in his <strong>2021<&sol;strong> Eid-il-Fitr Message titled&comma; &OpenCurlyQuote;Ramadan Fast and Everlasting love&comma;’ called on all Nigerians to see the end of Ramadan fasting as the beginning of stronger bond for a united Nigeria&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;He stressed that Nigerians should cultivate the intuition of living in accordance with the Ramadan prayers&comma; which are strong enough for the country to emerge as the biggest global economy&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Whether Muslim or Christian&comma; we must continue to see ourselves as brothers and sisters for a better Nigeria&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;&OpenCurlyQuote;We must see the end of Ramadan fasting as the beginning of stronger ties amongst tribes and clans in Nigeria&period; We have so much to gain as a united Nigeria than as a divided Nigeria&comma;” he advised&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Oyewale reiterated the commitment of <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;tribuneonlineng&period;com&sol;">NAOSRE<&sol;a> to promote harmony and confidence between operatives and citizens saying &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;NAOSRE’s commitment to a peaceful Nigeria is patriotic and genuine&period; We will continue to present the situation as objectively as it is for a better and safer Nigeria&period;”<br &sol;>&NewLine;He however called on President Muhammadu Buhari to oxygenate the security agencies through proper funding and trainings in line with global best practices&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
